Today, I am thrilled to share that we officially closed our acquisition of Trifacta. Trifacta provides proven, scalable cloud data engineering capabilities natively and securely for all major cloud deployments. With this acquisition, we are accelerating our cloud journey and providing significant value to our customers. Let me take a moment to give you some insight into how this aligns with our overall strategy and positions Alteryx to be a one-stop analytics shop to help our customers on their journey to transform their businesses with data.

Increasingly, enterprise customers are deploying modern data architectures built on cloud data warehouses and supporting SaaS applications and analytics. Trifacta augments Alteryx by bringing proven, scalable in-database processing and pushdown capabilities, working across cloud data providers, and giving us a deep bench of talent with experience building cloud native analytics solutions.

Trifacta, with its Data Engineering Cloud, is particularly adept at serving the needs of IT and data engineers while Alteryx is particularly strong at enabling analysts and business teams. By combining Alteryx’s leading low code/no code analytics solution with Trifacta’s cloud native capabilities we will be able to offer flexible deployment options to meet enterprise customers’ analytics needs across all personas that work with data. Ultimately, Trifacta will become the modern, cloud-based backend for the combined Alteryx solutions. Trifacta will also allow us to extend our cloud solutions to each of the major cloud providers — AWS, Azure, and GCP — providing maximum flexibility to our customers’ deployment choices.

Our vision is to be the first analytics vendor to bring together a unified experience and enable close collaboration between IT and the business through one integrated platform, serving our customers’ growing needs for cross-functional collaboration to deliver breakthrough insights using data. Now that the acquisition has closed, the Product and Engineering teams are hard at work to map out our combined roadmap. Look for more announcements on this in the coming months. Further, Trifacta customers can be assured they can expect their same great support and product experience to continue. As always, we also continue to invest and innovate heavily in our Alteryx Designer desktop and Alteryx Server solutions. I look forward to sharing more when we officially launch general availability of this full suite of cloud offerings in a few weeks!

I can’t emphasize enough what a momentous time it is for Alteryx, as we rapidly advance on our cloud journey. With Trifacta joining our Alteryx family, together, we will help our customers and partners bring even more value to their businesses, powered by breakthrough data analytic insights.
